Mid-19th Century English Gothic Revival Cast Bronze Planter
A substantial cast bronze planter in the Gothic Revival taste, the body cast with pointed arch arcading filled with acanthus and foliate ornament, with bosses at the base of each arch and a rope-twist molding at the foot. A central Gothic pinnacle divides the oval opening, flanked by pierced Gothic buttress handles with quatrefoil roundels and finials. The removable plain bronze liner fits the interior. Circa 1840s-1860s.
