An elaborately carved Italian 17th C. (late Renaissance) two-part step-back cabinet; the upper portion having pierced metal cabinet doors in the form of frolicking cherubs above two drawers; the lower portion having two cabinet doors flanked by carved caryatids. The cupboard retains its original metal hinges and massive hand forged key.
