An early 19th century Regency giltwood convex mirror with boldly carved rope-twist molding and tied acanthus leaf details at the compass points. The mirror plate retains attractive age and oxidation, framed by a reeded slip and richly patinated surface.
The back shows original panel construction with aged wood and period-appropriate fasteners, indicative of early 19th century manufacture.
