Early 19th Century German Biedermeier Fruitwood Upholstered Tub Chair

Biedermeier tub chair with a continuous curved fruitwood crest rail sweeping into shaped arm supports, the terminals carved with foliate and rosette detail. The barrel-form back and seat upholstered in cream woven fabric with brass nailhead trim throughout. Raised on four square tapered legs, the rear legs saber-form. Some wear to the fruitwood veneer visible at the seat rail.
