Early 19th Century French Creamware Tureen with Platter
A substantial early 19th century creamware tureen on a raised foot, with two reeded scroll handles and a domed cover finished with a finely molded shell and acanthus finial. The body is decorated with transfer-printed oak leaf and acorn borders and a neoclassical figural scene on each side. The matching oval platter carries the same oak garland border with a landscape vignette at the center. Circa 1810.
