Early 19th Century English Regency Teapoy

An elegant early 19th C. English Regency period teapoy or tea caddy on stand. The mahogany sarcophagus shaped box or caddy opens to reveal an upholstered and buttoned interior lid with three zinc lined compartments used to store various types of tea. The caddy is supported by a carved and turned pedestal terminating in a platform on carved, underturned feet on brass casters.
